WHAT ARE YOU FEEDING YOUR MIND?

2 Timothy 4:2 (KJV)
Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.

I have been brewing for quite a few months because of what I see and hear on YouTube. The political content is toxic and some of the “Christian” content does not encourage faith in the promises of God. Politically the ideological battles that are going on among various political leaders effects not only the lives of all Americans. But its mindset as well. The media, much of which presents a liberal anti-biblical stance present ideas that imply but do not verify information. And many people are taking sides. The biggest problem, as I see it, people hear what they want to hear and believe whatever accommodates their lifestyle. I am more irritated by the content creators who promote Christianity by pointing out what is wrong with various churches. The thumbnails, the image used to promote the topic of that particular show, is provocative and is successful in grabbing attention. Good news does not get the attention of people who have more channel options than time and reading the Bible does not attract now subscribers faster than gossiping, discussing, the foolishness that goes no in some churches.

1 John 2:23-29 (KJV)
23 Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: (but) he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also.
24  Let that therefore abide in you, which ye have heard from the beginning. If that which ye have heard from the beginning shall remain in you, ye also shall continue in the Son, and in the Father.
25  And this is the promise that he hath promised us, even eternal life.
26  These things have I written unto you concerning them that seduce you.
27  But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.
28  And now, little children, abide in him; that, when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming.
29  If ye know that he is righteous, ye know that every one that doeth righteousness is born of him.

Once upon a time, not to long ago, I enjoyed pointing out the problem. Unfortunately, watching and listening to the problems, finding humor in foolishness and becoming angry at hypocrisy, did not change the way of the world for the better. There is an increase in evil behavior among young people and the age is getting younger and younger.  Now I am forcing myself to avoid as much of the world as possible and live as God intended by “abiding in Him”.
Now more than ever it is important to focus on Jesus and not the ways of the world.  Parents need to parent their children and Americans need to vote qualifications and not pigment. Christians need to live accord to God’s word and not man’s theories.
We can no longer spend five hours a week hearing God’s word and the remainder of our waking ours listening to and watching the world. Feed your mind God’s word from the time you wake up until the time you go to sleep
