HAS YOUR FAITH BEEN POLLUTED?

 Tuesday, December 2, 2025 6:53:12 AM

Philippians 4:8 (KJV)
Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

I struggle listening to the Truth of God because of worldly distractions. I believe I should be aware of what is going on in the world and though I choose not to listen to traditional news media outlets I do listen to news sources. There needs to be a balance. It is important to hear more of God’s word than man’s opinion.

Psalm 119:105 (KJV)
Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.

The Apostle Paul instructs the reader to think on whatsoever is: true, honest, just, pure, lovely, good reports as well as any virtue and praise. These things are polluted by modern media and false teachers of the word.

Much of today’s entertainment is  filled with violence, nudity, sexual content, and profanity. Even so called family friendly entertainment has such unbiblical lifestyles as same sex unions woven in the plots, men in dresses are prevalent.
Scripture instructs us to focus on that which is: true, honest, just, pure, lovely, good reports, virtuous and praiseworthy  but we are bombarded by the opposite.
Unfortunately, many Believers are exposed to more worldly beliefs that negate biblical understandings, their faith is polluted.  Many of todays churches are influenced by the world which allows the world to justify their sinful activities.

Ephesians 4:11-16 (KJV)
11  And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;
12  For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: 13  Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:
14  That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;
15  But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ: 16  From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.
Today there are over 40 thousand denominations world wide, there are between 100 to 200 in the United States but there is only One God and His word has not changed.

Philippians 2:12 (KJV)
12  Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.

There are individuals out there who teach the word of God. God’s word is not meant to entertain but to give life so that whatever status in life a person is in he or she can live in peace and joy.

WHAT ARE YOU FEEDING YOUR MIND?

 Friday, November 28, 2025 3:21:01 PM

2 Timothy 4:2 (KJV)
Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.

I have been brewing for quite a few months because of what I see and hear on YouTube. The political content is toxic and some of the “Christian” content does not encourage faith in the promises of God. Politically the ideological battles that are going on among various political leaders effects not only the lives of all Americans. But its mindset as well. The media, much of which presents a liberal anti-biblical stance present ideas that imply but do not verify information. And many people are taking sides. The biggest problem, as I see it, people hear what they want to hear and believe whatever accommodates their lifestyle. I am more irritated by the content creators who promote Christianity by pointing out what is wrong with various churches. The thumbnails, the image used to promote the topic of that particular show, is provocative and is successful in grabbing attention. Good news does not get the attention of people who have more channel options than time and reading the Bible does not attract now subscribers faster than gossiping, discussing, the foolishness that goes no in some churches.

1 John 2:23-29 (KJV)
23 Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: (but) he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also.
24  Let that therefore abide in you, which ye have heard from the beginning. If that which ye have heard from the beginning shall remain in you, ye also shall continue in the Son, and in the Father.
25  And this is the promise that he hath promised us, even eternal life.
26  These things have I written unto you concerning them that seduce you.
27  But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.
28  And now, little children, abide in him; that, when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming.
29  If ye know that he is righteous, ye know that every one that doeth righteousness is born of him.

Once upon a time, not to long ago, I enjoyed pointing out the problem. Unfortunately, watching and listening to the problems, finding humor in foolishness and becoming angry at hypocrisy, did not change the way of the world for the better. There is an increase in evil behavior among young people and the age is getting younger and younger.  Now I am forcing myself to avoid as much of the world as possible and live as God intended by “abiding in Him”.
Now more than ever it is important to focus on Jesus and not the ways of the world.  Parents need to parent their children and Americans need to vote qualifications and not pigment. Christians need to live accord to God’s word and not man’s theories.
We can no longer spend five hours a week hearing God’s word and the remainder of our waking ours listening to and watching the world. Feed your mind God’s word from the time you wake up until the time you go to sleep

DEMONS

Matthew 10:1 (KJV)
1  And when he had called unto him his twelve disciples, he gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease.

Luke 9:1 (KJV)
Then he called his twelve disciples together, and gave them power and authority over all devils, and to cure diseases.

I believe that anyone, saint or sinner, can be demoniacally influenced, I do not believe that children of God can be possessed by demons. Just like when the Rapture will occur,  before tribulation, during tribulation or post tribulation, and speaking in “tongues”, this is a controversial subject. Not everyone believes in demons, some believe there are demons but they can not influence Christians, some people believe that Christians can be possessed by demons; and yes, there are people who doubt the existence of Satan as well as demons. Why do I believe in demoniacally possessed or influenced people? Because I believe in the Devil and his demonic force.

Acts 16:16-20 (KJV)
16  And it came to pass, as we went to prayer, a certain damsel possessed with a spirit of divination met us, which brought her masters much gain by soothsaying:
17  The same followed Paul and us, and cried, saying, These men are the servants of the most high God, which shew unto us the way of salvation.
18  And this did she many days. But Paul, being grieved, turned and said to the spirit, I command thee in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her. And he came out the same hour.
19  And when her masters saw that the hope of their gains was gone, they caught Paul and Silas, and drew them into the marketplace unto the rulers,
20  And brought them to the magistrates, saying, These men, being Jews, do exceedingly trouble our city,

A  person with a spirit of divination is a fortune teller, a spiritual reader, a psychic or a palm reader. This woman was very good at what she did, we know that because her “masters” made  a lot of money  from her activity. It does not matter if she was accurate or not she was not working on behalf of God. People who went to her looked to this woman for answers not God, anytime we trust anyone or anything to tell us about our lives we are being demoniacally influenced.

Acts 19:10-12 (KJV)
10  And this continued by the space of two years; so that all they which dwelt in Asia heard the word of the Lord Jesus, both Jews and Greeks.
11  And God wrought special miracles by the hands of Paul:
12  So that from his body were brought unto the sick handkerchiefs or aprons, and the diseases departed from them, and the evil spirits went out of them.

If people could not be delivered from evil spirits why would they allow evil spirits to be cast out of them?

Acts 19:13-16 (KJV)
13  Then certain of the vagabond Jews, exorcists, took upon them to call over them which had evil spirits the name of the Lord Jesus, saying, We adjure you by Jesus whom Paul preacheth.
14  And there were seven sons of one Sceva, a Jew, and chief of the priests, which did so.
15  And the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye?
16  And the man in whom the evil spirit was leaped on them, and overcame them, and prevailed against them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded.

This is interesting because it shows that not everyone could cast out evil spirits. I believe, a person can have a mega-church and not have the power to cast out demons because the demons know that he, or she, does not have a personal relationship with God. In addition, there are individuals with titles associated with Christianity that are powerless when it comes to praying against evil spirits because Jesus is not Lord of his or her life. Some “deliverance” ministries are emotional events not true deliverance.

I find it interesting that Jesus did not comission his followers to promote prosperity.

Mark 16:16-19 (KJV)
16  He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
17  And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
18  They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
19  So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.
